Research record
Abstract / overview
This report brings together observed and documented scam and digital-fraud patterns affecting users and organisations in East Africa during 2026. It examines recurring social-engineering techniques, impersonation, payment fraud, account compromise and the communication channels through which fraudulent activity is delivered.\n\nThe emphasis is on patterns that can inform awareness, control design, investigation and response rather than simply cataloguing incidents. Access is provided on request so the current version and appropriate use conditions can be shared directly.
