Who this pathway is for
Native or near-native Luganda or Swahili speakers with strong written language skills and enough familiarity with digital safety or cybersecurity to distinguish accurate explanations from literal but misleading translations.
What to include
- Your language(s) and level of professional or native proficiency
- A short example translating and explaining one cybersecurity term for a general audience
- Relevant translation, localisation, teaching, communications or cybersecurity experience
- Your expected availability for a short review assignment
Location: Remote
Deadline:
The assignment supports Solid Elf's Cybersecurity Glossary and Awareness Q&A in Luganda and Swahili. Consultants will review terminology, short explanations and question-and-answer pairs for technical accuracy, clarity, consistency and natural language use. The work may also include identifying terms that should remain in English, proposing locally understandable alternatives and flagging translations that could create security misunderstandings.\n\nThis is a short paid consultancy assignment. Work will be reviewed in batches, and contributors should be willing to discuss language choices where there is no single obvious equivalent.
